About the book
This book is a work in progress. Every month we publish another chapter here (there will be eight in total). We'd like it to be as participatory and inclusive as possible, so please please pretty please send us some stories!
Otesha Canada has a book and we don't like to be outdone, so we wanted one too.
Following on from the example set by our Canadian counterparts, we're writing each chapter on an issue we really want to shout out about. Every month, we'll put it online here - free for the world to read, share, and contribute to. We like to share. In fact, we like to share so much that we're hoping to write this book together with you.
These issues are:
Food, Money, Fashion , Trade , Energy , Water , Transport and Media.
Sometimes you gotta point out the downright daft things that society seems to have accepted as normal and try and shake some common sense into the masses. We reckon, with a little bit of help from our friends (that includes you), we might just manage to do that.
So, onto the help bit.
We need your thoughts, feelings, wheelings and dealings. If our issues provoke any sort of reaction in you, get it in an email to us. All your submissions will be posted up online here. Every month one lucky writer will receive an extraordinary Otesha Trouble pack in the post, packed full of goodies.
Come summer 2008, once we've all eight chapters together and online, we're going pick our favourite of the submissions and go on a hunt for a publisher. There's little doubt in our minds that it's going to be a masterpiece. You'd be mad not to want to be a part of it.
