Addressing such issues as climate change, going to work and having some fun, Sylvia's Mother has taken the mid-Wales crudely-drawn-comic scene by storm. She is currently out of work but trying. She uses this free time to do crafts and complain about the way that the media covers science stories. She’s not a big fan of computers but was once proposed to over MSN Instant Messenger (she said no).

Her turn-ons include extended metaphors, graphs and Malcolm Tucker.

Her turn-offs include comic sans, genocide, and t-shirts with polar bears on them.
